Corrupted Heart is the fourth book in the Venomous Gods series by Jagger Cole, telling the dark and passionate story of Bianca Sartorre and Kratos Dracus. Bound by their past traumas and dark desires, their journey begins when Kratos saves Bianca from a dangerous situation, igniting an all-consuming obsession. Despite her attempts to resist, Bianca is irresistibly drawn to him—even as his possessive and primal nature threatens to consume them both. Together, they navigate a world of betrayal, vengeance, and secrets that bind them tighter than either anticipated.

I have a love-hate relationship with Jagger Cole. He has a talent for pushing the boundaries of steamy, captivating storytelling and exploring darker, more depraved—and at times, terrifying—narratives.

While reading Corrupted Heart, I often found myself needing to pause and step away to read something lighter. The unsettling themes made it difficult to simply immerse myself in the fantasy without questioning whether people could truly be drawn to this level of intensity. The book delves into controversial and sensitive topics, including primal, possessive, and obsessive behavior, emotional manipulation, coercion, and forceful actions. It’s dark, raw, and not for the faint of heart.

This is a story that can feel overwhelming, and I’d recommend approaching it with caution if you’re sensitive to heavy material. But if you enjoy dark romance that unapologetically pushes boundaries, this book might be for you.

If you’ve read Corrupted Heart or any other Jagger Cole books, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Did you enjoy the story, or did the intense themes leave you feeling conflicted too?
